Francesca's Birthday Boudoir Experience
Q: How did you find Gemini Boudoir, and what made you decide to book your boudoir experience(s)?
A: Having a boudoir experience had been on my bucket list for a few years. I had looked over so many photographers and their portfolios and I was simply disheartened. I am plus size, and at the time was very self conscious and when I would look at portfolios I would think that could never be me. "I’m not this" or "I’m not that", so I gave up.
Through a conversation with a friend I stumbled upon Chelsea and Gemini Boudior and things quickly changed. Her portfolio was AMAZING!! Thank you to all the the ladies who signed that full release so the rest of us could how Chelsea transforms raw beauty of any shape or size into gorgeous artwork!! I was instantly sold and knew that if anyone was going to photograph me it was going to be Chelsea. The rest is history from there. I have had three sessions and I’m sure more to come in the future!!
Q: Were you nervous when booking, or leading up to your session day(s)?
A: I will say I was super excited yet very nervous when booking my first session and the days leading up to it. I just kept thinking is this real, am I finally doing it?
Booking my last two sessions has been super fun and has been a treat to myself for different things I have accomplished the last few years. The nerves are gone and it is all excitement and happiness.
Q: What were your favorite moments during your experience(s)?
A: I cannot pick just one or two favorite moments. Each session has had its highlights! My first session I was dead set that I was NOT going to be wearing anything green or red… spoiler alert… my two favorite outfits from my first session were green and red. (Listen to Chelsea… she knows what’s up.)
My second session was an absolute blast. When I got there it was like we picked up right where we left off. I love that the studio is in Chelsea’s home and I am animal lover so I love seeing her fur babies running around and one or two of them always make a cameo in my photos and I think it is absolutely adorable.
My last session was a special one as it was my birthday and I could not have thought of a better way to celebrate myself than to spend it with some ladies who I am proud to call friends and get all dolled up and have pictures taken. We talked about life and the highs and the lows since we last saw each other. Chelsea makes you feel like you are more than just a client and that is the absolute best feeling in the world.
My overall favorite moments would be the bonus add ons. I have done them all except two and while I loved every one of them, my top three would be the Wet Set, the Champagne Pour and the Luxe Robe. I also love that if you have a vision for something Chelsea will do her best and get creative to make it happen. Nothing is same from one session to the next and that is one of the best parts of it.
Q: How do you feel now that you've went through with your session, seen your images, and got to touch and love on your products?
A: I have left each session feeling like a badass! My session have been a complete confidence boost and no one can take that away from me. I have been able to see myself through the lens of someone else. My images and my products are so much more than pictures and books. They are where I turn if I’m having an absolute shit day. There is nothing more mood boosting than seeing yourself as a gorgeous piece of art.
**When I received my sneakies the next day, after my last session I sent them to my bestie and I remember texting her and saying “all I have to say is that all the men who let this walk out of their lives are fucking morons…”
Q: What would you say to someone who’s on the fence about booking their own experience?
A: Just book the dang session… haha. In all seriousness you will never find a more caring, compassionate and fun team of ladies to make this experience a success and everything you could dream it to be. It will be one of the greatest experiences of your life and you will leave that session wishing you had done it sooner and ready to book your next one. It is worth every penny and every day you have to wait until your session day!!
