Q: How did you find Gemini Boudoir, and what made you decide to book your boudoir experience(s)?
A: I found Gemini by looking for Cincinnati area boudoir photographers on Instagram, and just a google search too. I was interested in doing a boudoir shoot as a wedding present for my now husband. Some of my friends had done a steamy shoot for their spouses as a wedding present and it was a VERY well received gift so I wanted to look into it as well. When I found Gemini’s insta I knew I had to book with Chelsea. Every single client looked so beautiful and they were all so unique with different looks and vibes for each shoot.
Q: Were you nervous when booking, or leading up to your session day(s)?
A: I was a bit nervous when booking but probably less nervous than most as I work in women’s health, so I see bodies very frequently at work. This made me a bit more comfortable with being barely clothed. I was most nervous about how my body would photograph and if I would like the pictures or even want to give them to him. I felt pretty prepared too because Chelsea has a great guide for how to prep for your photos and what to bring. I definitely recommend reading through it and definitely stretch, or do some light yoga before your shoot.
Q: What were your favorite moments during your experience(s)?
A: Honestly just Chelsea’s personality and her being silly and fun to make me feel so comfortable, I felt like we were bonded before we even took the first picture which made me so much more comfortable. I loved being able to try on different looks from her client closet, I brought a few pieces I was comfortable using for lingerie but I ended up using all things from her and LOVED them. My favorite moment from the first shoot was the first time she showed me some of the photos she had captured, I couldn’t believe that was ME!! It was an immediate confidence boost and from then on I felt like *That Bitch* for the rest of the shoot and honestly for weeks afterward. My confidence has never been so high! My favorite moment from the second shoot was definitely me trying to open the bottle of Champagne without making an surprised or scared face and failing miserably lol, Chelsea showed me the picture and we couldn’t stop laughing. Another one of my favorite things Chelsea does is when a certain picture is just too good and so hot, she will straight up Meow at you which always gets me giggling.
Q: How do you feel now that you've went through with your session and seen your images?
A: As I kind of mentioned in the last question, I felt immediately confident once she showed me a few pictures and I realized how beautiful I am. As women, most of us only see the negatives when we look at ourselves in the mirror, thats how I viewed myself prior to going to Gemini. Now, I don’t see the negatives anymore, I feel so beautiful and not just that, but also SEXY which I would never have thought prior to this that I could be. I also felt like such a badass and the friends I showed the images to agreed, I am hot stuff. Being able to give my husband on our wedding day the album of 40 pictures of me boosted me up even more. He wanted to take the album with us to Costa Rica on our honeymoon, I was able to download the app for him of my pictures and he agreed to leave the book at home. I find him now just smiling on the couch looking at his phone, and ask him what he’s smiling about, and he shows me the app of my pictures and says how lucky he is that I’m his wife. He loves them and was so excited when I told him I wanted to go back for another shoot because I loved it so much!
Q: What would you say to someone who’s on the fence about booking their own experience?
A: JUST DO IT!!! I promise you won’t regret it, Chelsea is a pro and will walk you through every single thing with posing and even how to breathe through your shoot. If you aren’t comfortable with certain poses or doing topless/nude pictures then you won’t do them! She’s great about checking in to see how you’re feeling making sure you’re comfortable, especially with the bondange props if you do that as an option. Even if you first book like I did, as a present for a partner, you will get more out of it than you ever thought you could. I did my first two shoots with Chelsea within 6 months of each other because I had so much fun and loved it so much! I would love to go back and see her again, I think an anniversary, maternity, or birthday shoot would be fantastic. I will definitely be a repeat customer for life.
